Binge-watching Netflix, Trump touching his face, other precious Covid-19 moments

Cartoonist Dave Whamond of Cagle.com says most of us "have been training for this our entire lives," referring to coronavirus pandemic measures, including binge-watching Netflix.
"When D.J. Trump talks, people listen" (and the stock market takes a dive) is yet another timely cartoon from Whamond, whose work has appeared in magazines and newspapers.

On Feb. 28, the president labeled
the new coronavirus 'a hoax,'
but just 2 weeks later -- on a Friday the 13th -- declared
 a 'national emergency'

Cartoonist Daryl Cagle of DarylCagle.com has President Trump violating the first rule of personal hygiene during the coronavirus pandemic, touching his face, in a variation on the "See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil" cartoon.
From Adam Zyglis, Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist for The Buffalo News, on the need for social distancing during the pandemic.
The panic buying and rationing of toilet paper by Americans who were "scared shitless" of the coronavirus, in the words of political satirist Bill Maher, was illustrated by cartoonist Steve Sack of the Star Tribune in Minnesota.
Cartoons by Jimmy Margulies, above and below, illustrate the sad state of our health-care system, and the danger posed to workers' pensions during the coronavirus pandemic.

Margulies cartoons also can be seen on his Facebook page.
Cartoonist Joe Heller of Cagle.com illustrates the dilemma of Americans who were urged to stay at home just as gasoline prices fell. Heller is the editorial cartoonist for the Green Bay Press Gazette in Wisconsin.

Trump is sounding even more incoherent at new low point for his insane presidency

The biggest news out of Washington, D.C., was how House Speaker Nancy Pelosi got President Trump to end the government shutdown without yielding an inch on authorizing more than $5 billion for a wall on our southern border -- as illustrated by cartoonists Daryl Cagle, above, and Adam Zyglis of The Buffalo News, below.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi showed how a strong woman can shame a shameless Trump

Here, Zyglis of The Buffalo News has another take on Trump's utter humiliation, portraying the president as Humpty Dumpty. Let's hope that like the nursery rhyme all the president's men can't put Trump back together again.

We're waiting for a reporter who asks Trump, "When are you going to stop lying to the American people?"

Cartoonist Ed Wexler has another riff on the Pelosi-Trump confrontation, with one GOP first responder declaring the president needs "some cojones STAT!!!" See more cartoons at The Cagle Post.

Trump's 'invasion' of terrorists and human traffickers came from a movie, not reality

Cartoonist Daryl Cagle has fun with Richard Nixon's declaration, "I am not a crook." He has the Nixon tattoo on Roger Stone's back telling it like it is.
Rick McKee, staff cartoonist for the Augusta Chronicle, zeroes in on Stone, the longtime confidant of Trump and a political dirty trickster, calling him the keystone of the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.
The Buffalo News' Zyglis hits hard at the Stone-Trump relationship, showing the overweight president with a tattoo of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin on his back. Trump kowtowed to Putin with his attempt to pull American troops out of Syria and by ending a big missile treaty.

The chaotic Trump presidency in cartoons from Stormy Daniels to Russia meddling

"Nothing to see here," President Trump says in this cartoon from Daryl Cagle of Cagle.com, a site for artists worldwide. Try as he might, Trump hasn't been able to distract the news media from his affair with adult film star Stormy Daniels, his lawyer Michael Cohen's $130,000 payment to silence her, and the FBI raid on Cohen's home and office. Below, Nate Beeler of The Columbus Dispatch in Ohio explores the menage a trois among Trump, Cohen and Sean Hannity, the Trump shill on Fox. "It's all consensual," Hannity claims.

Hannity is portrayed as Trump's lap dog in this cartoon from Adam Zyglis of The Buffalo News.
Special Counsel Robert Mueller has so many leads to follow in another cartoon from Zyglis called "Which Hunt."
In another Daryl Cagle cartoon, Trump calls the FBI raids on Cohen, the lawyer who is often called the president's fixer, "an attack on our country." Not a single reporter laughed in Trump's face when he made that ridiculous comparison.
"The Unraveling," another Zyglis cartoon, notes publication of a book by fired FBI Director James Comey brought vicious attacks from the president and calls for his arrest by Republican leaders.
Trump as the puppet of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, the Syrian war criminal, is explored by Jimmy Margulies, former editorial cartoonist at The Record of Woodland Park.
